NCAA TOP SEEDS ANNOUNCED: Kentucky was named the number one overall seed in the 2012 NCAA men’s basketball tournament, with Syracuse, North Carolina and Michigan State rounding out the remaining number one seeds. Kansas, Duke, Missouri and Ohio State will battle it out as the number two seeds. Get those brackets in by Wednesday evening, gentlemen.
FOG OF WAR: Just as Afghan rage over last month’s burning of Korans by US soldiers was beginning to subside, an American soldier allegedly shot and killed 16 Afghan civilians while they slept Sunday morning. The shootings appear to be the deadliest intentional attack on civilians by a US soldier in the decade-long Afghanistan war.
