High-end fashion designers collaborating with mall brands wasn’t new in 2012, but it definitely made a big impact on menswear this year—the Gaps, the Targets, the H&Ms went all GQ, Odin and Margiela on the average consumer in the past year.

In 2013, we expect even more high-low collaborations. And since we’re essentially menswear soothsayers, we decided to let you know what to look forward to.

Without further ado, Kempt’s predictions for the big menswear collaborations of 2013.

Karl-Mart (Karl Lagerfeld x Walmart)
The world’s most famous fashion designer teams up with the world’s most ruthless retailer. A match made in profiteering heaven.
Things to look forward to: Patent-leather dish soap and a line of luxury cat accessories designed by Choupette (his cat).

Thom Ford (Thom Browne x Ford Motors)
Two trendsetting American icons team up.
Things to look forward to: Shorts-suits inspired by the bench seating of a Bronco II. A gray flannel upholstered reissue of the 1978 Ford Pinto with seat belts made of red, white and blue grosgrain ribbon.

MarcDonald’s (Marc Jacobs x McDonald’s)
It was only a matter of time before you could get fries with that kilt.
Things to look forward to: Free tattoo of a hamburger with a lightning bolt through it with each Happy Meal. Marcafé (only in European locations).

Davey Kurokodairu (Yuketen x Crocs)
Americana stalwart Yuki Matsuda injects some rusticity into the popular rubber clogs.
Things to look forward to: Crocodile-skin crocs and… actually, that’s it. Just Crocs fashioned from croc skin. (Maybe a few beaded tassels at the ankle.)

Mark McNairy x Hello Kitty
Wait, this hasn’t already happened?
Things to look forward to: Slim-fit cargo fanny pack in pink and pink camouflage.

Rick Owens x Lisa Frank
The goth ninja trend finds its softer, more multicolor-unicorn-sticker side.
Things to look forward to: Drop-crotch Trapper Keepers.
