It’s not all wine and roses in the fashion industry. With the r-word in full swing, a lot of worthy labels are closing up shop.

The latest casualty is Nau, an environmentally-minded activewear outfit that juggled technology and style better than most. Check out their website for a full message, but the gist of it is this: the jig is up.

They kept their jackets slim and kept the look minimalist, and helped out a lot of closets along the way. As a business, they took stands on sustainable production (meaning an emphasis on waste management and regular impact reporting) and progressive labor policies (meaning no union-busting and no employees under 16). In other words, they went out with some class.

Gentlemen: fare thee well.
