Menswearabouts: Surveying the Menswear Landscape of 2016

The end of 2015 saw some big shake-ups in menswear—from Ralph Lauren stepping down as CEO of his namesake label to Aaron Levine ditching Club Monaco for Abercrombie & Fitch—so we thought we’d start off the new year by taking stock of who’s here, who’s there and who’s not.

We plan on checking in periodically as the menswear carousel continues to spin, but for now let’s start with what we know so far...

The New Athleisure Economy: Intent vs. Reality

Seems like all of our favorite menswear labels are making stylish workout clothes these days, from  Ovadia & Sons to Suitsupply to Dusk, a sporty new collection launched by the folks at Unis yesterday. (And let’s not forget Todd Snyder’s long-standing collaboration with Champion.)

But with all this handsome athletic wear out there, who’s really using it to work out? But I Want It Now: NYFW:M Stuff You Can Have Now

Fashion Week shows offer the rare opportunity to see what you and others of your well-dressed ilk will be rocking a calendar year from now. It’s like stepping into a time machine where everyone’s taking photos all the time. The king-hell bummer of it all is that you’re not wearing any of this wonderful stuff until next year. Uncool.

So we’re doing a public service today by letting you in on the best stuff you can procure right this very second from all the designers showing tomorrow. Happy acquiring.
