The fashion cognoscenti gathered at Lincoln Center for the annual CFDA Fashion Awards last night—and, as expected, there was plenty of good style on display. (And plenty of Rihanna on display.)
And while we were pleased to see Public School get some well-deserved shine by winning the Menswear Designer of the Year Award, they weren’t the only ones who came out looking like winners.
What you wear to bed can often feel like an afterthought…
But not today.
Because today we’re giving sleepwear, in all of its glorious forms (including Marilyn Monroe’s lack thereof), its proper due. And after a painstakingly thorough search—no movie set, red carpet or private boudoir went unturned—we managed to assemble a definitive list of the 64 greatest moments in pajama-dom. That’s right, we found every last one of them.
As your calendar should’ve notified you, we’re a week into December—which means the new crop of magazines hit the newsstands a little bit ago. But in case they got lost in the holiday jumble, we’ve flipped through them all to give you the lowdown on everything you need to know about this month in menswear journalism.
The December issues were full of reflection on a year that seemed more dismal to some (Esquire) than others (GQ) and mostly about watching TV to Details. And, for the first two, possibly about ushering in a new era of the casually printed nipple. (Here’s to looking forward to 2013 on that one.)
