The Stat Sheet: The Armoury Ring Jacket A-1 Blouson

As the torchbearers of Hong Kong’s tailoring renaissance, The Armoury has been turning out lust-worthy menswear since they opened up shop in 2010.

And the latest batch has just hit the web, in the form of four A-1 blousons by the legendary Japanese label Ring Jacket with wool sourced from celebrated English mill Abraham Moon. Our favorite of the bunch is the marled Fair Isle-y number you see above.

The Stat Sheet: Chimala Windowpane Blazer

On the heels of yesterday’s plaid primer comes this handsome windowpane blazer from Chimala that’s just landed at Unionmade.

Here’s what else you need to know.

The Story: This jacket couldn’t be better timed, with a windowpane plaid over navy and our favorite seasonal flourish, elbow patches.

Who to Channel: A gentleman of leisure strolling through a city park; Nucky Thompson with a bit less of a penchant for corruption.

When to Wear It: Now through winter’s end—throw a fall/winter pocket square into the mix for added effect.

Degree of Difficulty: Medium to low. Though you ought to keep your plaid count down to only one additional item—unless that item is a kilt (by then, you’re already in too deep).

Your moment of inspiration, after the jump.»

The Summer Jacket

Nigel Cabourn

White jeans have made a strong showing this summer, but we’d like to suggest a secret weapon: the white jacket.

Case in point: this Nigel Cabourn button-up, a lighter take on the work jacket and the first nautical item you could safely wear to Diddy’s house. Instead of weather-beaten canvas, there’s ivory-white sateen (translation: it may feel like you’re wearing a bedspread), but there’s no mistaking the nautical cut.

Think of it as the slick-bastard end of workwear.
