As recently professed, we’ve got a bit of a soft spot for the classic vertical stripe. So we’re pretty pumped to see that the ’60s throwback is trending back into menswear circles, with updated takes on offer from the likes of Gant and Steven Alan.
We’ve filtered through all of the online sale noise and graded your best options out there, should you feel inclined to do any menswear browsing this weekend... and this one is shaping up to be a real doozy.

Ovadia & Sons’ winter collection has been building buzz all year in menswear circles, but they’ve been slow arriving on e-commerce.
C’H’C’M’ has the best selection so far—seven items including a pair of gingham oxfords and winter-ready pants. It’s still just a taste, but it’s a kind of well-considered minimalism that you’ll be seeing a lot more of as the year rolls on.
For instance, if you take a closer look at the shawl-collared sweater, you’ll notice some unusually deep ribbing. That means it’ll conform to your body better, and a lighter garment will hold in a lot more warm air. It’s the kind of detail that has to be felt to be appreciated... but it does explain where all that buzz is coming from.
We’ve got two bits of good sale news. First, Drakes has some achingly handsome cashmere ties on sale here. And once you’re done there, you may want to investigate the more involved summer sale going on at Brooklyn mainstay C’H’C’M’. In fact, there’s so much, we’ve put together a little guide of what to buy, what to sell and what to hold.
