Labels get inspiration from lots of different places, but this is the first time we’ve seen macho anthropology pop into the mix. We got a look at the new Rogues Gallery line the other day, and it’s not just nautical—it’s practically survivalist. The line takes inspiration from Thor Heyerdahl’s *Kon Tiki*, documenting a trip from Peru to Polynesia in only a raft, giving RG’s usual Cape Cod sensibility a rougher seagoing edge.

Needless to say, if you’re trying something like that, you’ll need a hell of a sweater.

As you can see, there’s plenty of salty totes and high-top deck shoes—along with the usual t-shirt fodder—but one thing that caught our eye was the Gallery’s foray into microbrewing. Apparently their pals at Dogfish Head brewery whipped them up a couple cases of an IPA called Squall with a Rogues Gallery designed logo. Of course, the hooch is long gone and not available for sale…yet. Plans are in the works, so by the time you’re ready to head off to sea next spring, you may have the perfect brew to stock on your pirate ship.
