Kempt Man of the Hour: Mark Ronson
*Photographed by our fearless lensman, Patrick McMullan.*
Back before he became a big time music producer and multi-Grammy winner, Mark Ronson used to DJ all the hottest parties in town—and some out of town as well (ask him about the time he flew to Milan to DJ at a Gucci soirée and got in a shouting match with Charlize Theron.) His sartorial acumen has increased appreciably since those days behind the decks; onstage these days he affects a sort of dapper nouveau-rockabilly vibe, necktie always knotted just so.
Seen here at one of those cool kid Fashion Week bashes, he exudes an extremely natty *Mad Men* vibe with a narrow-lapeled suit and skinny tie to match in glorious monochrome, smoking a soigné cigarette and all. The suit is from Tokyo hipster depot Mister Hollywood, the tie is by Band of Outsiders and the classic white shirt care of one Marc Jacobs. If more pop stars dressed this way, we might listen to more pop music. Well, no. Still—steal this look.
