The cat in the hat here is usually found behind the seams, if you will, when it comes to MOTHs like Adrian Grenier and Nigel Barker.

So it’s nice to see dandified downtown tailor Duncan Quinn out and about himself for once. We spotted the bespoke Brahmin at a party for Tanqueray No. 10 and Elle magazine hosted by architect/designer Campion Platt the other night - which explains the odd choice of headgear.

The event brought together a bunch of creative characters to create their own lids for the evening, which was somewhat inhibited at times by all the free gin. In any case, Quinn showed why MOTHs flock his way in a midnight blue dry-twist two piece suit with white and eggshell blue pinstripes, a lime green shine-jacquard cotton shirt, woven silk red and gold cherry-blossom tie with reversed pocket square, all of his own design, while strapped to his wrist was a treasured 1962 Breitling Chronomat on a black leather strap.

Unlike the watch, we’re pretty sure the hat didn’t make it home.
