News flash: St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner. Monday, to be exact.

So you’ll probably want to wear something green to ward off any handsy coworkers, relatives or passers-by. (Unless you’re into that sort of thing.)

Come to think of it, as far as sartorial traditions linked to holidays go, this might be one of the better ones—considering all you’ve got to do is wear “something” green. Which means you can be subtle about it—and, more importantly, get into the spirit without sacrificing your dignity.

Luckily, we’ve laid out the three best ways to go green in style:

031214_Green_1The Pocket Square: Like this one from Ovadia & Sons.

031214_Green_2The Tie: You can’t go wrong with a silk knitted tie, à la Sid Mashburn.

031214_Green_3The Socks: Extra points if they’ve been dyed with chlorophyll, like these from Tender.
