You Must Not Be Rude About a Panda

In another development that keeps China’s democracy in the “fledgling” or “developing” categories, government officials in Chengdu have outlawed the use of “demeaning” Panda imagery in response to the “panda couture” looks presented at China Fashion Week. The designer in question, self-styled “panda artist” Zhao Bandi (pictured above), was quoted as saying, “people deem giant pandas to be China’s state treasure. I am also a treasure for China, no less significant than the panda.” Well, the People’s Republic may not think so, Mr. Bandi, but as far as we’re concerned, you’re priceless.
