Your Gatsby-esque Summer Starts Now
You’ve got a full summer ahead of you: garden parties, regattas, clambakes, Prohibition-fueled revelry in West Egg—you know, the usual.
And just in time to start cultivating a Jay Gatsby vibe, Brooks Brothers has unveiled the Gatsby Collection today.
Most of the stuff is right off the set of Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby, where Brooks Brothers was tapped to furnish Gatsby and Nick Carraway with everything from boater hats to tuxedos. There are striped regatta blazers—in their signature Fitzgerald cut, naturally—an ivory linen suit with peak lapels, tipped bow ties—they’re such beautiful bow ties—spectator wingtips and loafers, and more. (Word has it, there were 500 different pieces made for the movie.)
It’s chock-full of the sort of nouveaux-riche-trad handsomeness you’d expect, and we’ve got more looks at our favorites…
