Amoskeag XX has been one of our favorite LES boutiques since they opened—not to mention our go-to spot for vintage overalls—but lately they’ve added a few new tricks to their repertoire. Specifically, the kind that involve Japanese selvage.

After a year of digging up workwear labels, they’re starting one of their own, with hickory-striped work jackets, chambray shirts and, most importantly, a new take on the henley. Their version is a little lighter than most thermals, which makes it a lot more appropriate for the current season. Even better, they’ve got a fair number of bonus pieces made from left-over selvage. A few good-sized totes are available, along with an assortment of single-bottle-sized bags for an impromptu tipple on the go.

Not that an old-fashioned paper bag won’t do, but the fine line between hobo-chic and hobo is one you shouldn’t be toeing.
