Formula One is having a moment.

It started with that Senna doc we were gushing about, but now Ron Howard had kicked off filming a supercar drama of his own in Germany. The flick follows F1 legend Niki Lauda through a notorious rivalry with Brit playboy James Hunt, a crash or two and a whole lot of racing. Word is Mr. Lauda will be played by Chris Hemsworth (a.k.a. Thor), which seems about right.

As luck would have it, Lauda’s also getting some love from an F1 photography book coming out this fall. And come next year, the U.S. is going to be hosting its own grand prix for the first time in five years—which means you’ll want to start hunting for tickets right about now.
