Filling Salma Hayek’s shoes—or whatever—is no easy task. But here at Kempt our Locks are off to Eva Mendes for her yeoman’s work on Campari’s new calendar for 2008. While Salma’s sexy sortie was cinematic in nature, Italian photographer Marino Parisotto staged Eva in a series of fairly tale-inspired vignettes on location in the quaint town of Rosignano, with help from designers like Roberto Cavalli, Alberta Ferretti and Elie Saab.
Here she makes like a racy Little Red Riding Hood; the others include Puss In Boots, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and that old chestnut, Cinderella. Eva hit Milan’s Superstudio on Tuesday to help launch the calendar, where she wore a dicey Dolce & Gabbana gown and partied with Alessandro Dell’Acqua and Margherita Missoni in true Italian style. The calendar’s a limited edition of course; only 9,999 copies are being distributed internationally. And no, you can’t have ours.
