The Untold Charms of Being Well-Dressed
This snap comes from the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar, where fashion’s favorite perma-grinning photog Terry Richardson followed Ms. Kate Upton about her day at the Beverly Hills Hotel—sunning poolside, wearing floppy hats, the usual—until our favorite bow-tie-wielding comedian Aziz Ansari suddenly entered, frame right. It’s hard to know exactly why he’s in this single photo, but we’ve got a hunch…
And it has to do with dressing the part.
We can only assume that Aziz was also wandering the hotel grounds enjoying a very similar day, possibly humming some R. Kelly, just being his usual tuxedoed self. And voilà: a swimsuit model appeared, a lightbulb flashed, and his general level of bon vivance soared higher.
It serves as an important reminder that being dressed well at all times can do wonderful things for you, even when you’re least expecting it, and that you should always dress for the occasion optimistically. (Even swimsuit-model-sidling optimistic.)
Gentlemen, let us go forth in eternal nattiness.
