As any dedicated man of style can tell you, it’s the little choices that matter. Spread or point collar? Jeans or slacks? Two or three-button?

For the record, this month’s answer is two.

Today, H(y)r collective faces down a similar question for the ages: leather or red brick soles? It’s a tough call, and an otherwise versatile pair of suede bucks hangs in the balance.

The red brick sole results in a more casual, less traditional look; so really the question is, what kind of shoe do you want? In general, more formal means less versatile, but we’d say bucks are classic enough to break that particular mold. And while red brick soles are exciting, we always stick with the classics when in doubt.

Think of it this way: what would Lord Whimsy do?
