LaDainian Tomlinson Has Heard Good Things About Jersey Boys

In honor of the shiny ties and eye-popping suits of the NFL Draft, we were lucky enough to catch up with one LaDainian Tomlinson, both one of the better-dressed gentlemen in the game and a surefire winner for any fantasy football team lucky enough to have him. We found the new Jet at a recent Gatorade event in Tribeca to talk New York, California and musicals.
Kempt: First thoughts on New York?
LT: I’ve been here about three weeks, and I love it. I think it’s a great place to play sports. I mean, who wouldn’t want to play in New York? It’s above all the rest. It’s the biggest place you can play. But I tell you something, we better win.
Kempt: What’s the biggest difference between California and New York?
LT: California is slow. New York is busy.
Kempt: Do you live in Manhattan?
LT: Actually, no, I’m staying in Jersey, you know, because that’s where the complex is.
Kempt: Have you got any favorite spots in Manhattan yet?
LT: Not yet. But I always enjoy going to Broadway shows.
Kempt: Really?
LT: Yeah, that’s something my wife and I really enjoy. I actually went to one a couple of weeks ago, Othello. And we enjoyed it. So I look forward to going to a lot more.
Kempt: Yeah? Maybe some musicals?
LT: Oh yeah. My wife is really into musicals. She loves them.
Kempt: You gonna check out Jersey Boys?
LT: Yeah, a lot of the guys on the team have talked to me about Jersey Boys.
Kempt: Oh yeah?
LT: Yeah.
Kempt: Wow. Who knew?
LT: Yeah.
