The Reentry: September 26
We learned a lot this weekend. For starters, we learned that while Tom Brady may be fallible, The Lion King is not. Allow us to elaborate…
GAME DAY: Tom Brady did not have a good Sunday. He threw four interceptions as part of yesterday’s 34-31 loss to the Bills and—we really can’t stress this enough—he lost to the Buffalo Bills. That just never feels good. If you see the man, buy him a beer.
YOU SAY YOU WANT A REVOLUTION: 80 protesters were arrested or ticketed on Wall Street this Saturday, the eighth day of a march dubbed Occupy Wall Street. Protestors’ demands include everything from enacting tougher financial regulations to establishing a post-capitalist commune in Central Park. Unfortunately, those seem equally likely right now.
PEOPLE STILL LOVE THE LION KING: For two weeks running, the re-released 3D version of The Lion King has topped the box office, vanquishing both Jason Statham’s Killer Elite and the baseball nerdery of Moneyball. Ladies and gentlemen, Jonathan Taylor Thomas is a star once more.
OH, AND THE GOVERNMENT MIGHT SHUT DOWN AGAIN: So, heads up on that.
