The Anti-MOTH: Tyson Chandler
Athletes have always had a long and proud tradition of sartorial experimentation. More often than not, these things end comically, embarrassingly or, in the case of New York Knick Tyson Chandler: downright confoundingly.
First, let us applaud his fearlessness. And his dedication to the artistic spirit of the soiree here—the Free Arts NYC 2012 Annual Art Auction. Now, let’s get into what’s got us scratching our heads and gasping, “Good God, what is this?” Where to begin... The drop-crotch pants. That scarf he must’ve borrowed from a high school drama teacher. The cape. (Yes, he’s wearing a cape.) The problem is: it all adds up to a lot of draped, flowing fabric and a ghoulish silhouette.
It’s hard out there for a Knicks fan this year.
