A fast car is always good news, especially when it’s a torpedo-shaped European model with just enough room for two seats and a gearshift. And if fewer than two dozen were ever made…the pot just keeps getting sweeter.

This is the Ferrari 250 Testarossa, and it’s poised to set an auction record when it goes on the block this May. It would have to clear the $28.7 million set by the previous 250 GTO last September—and we aren’t sure who has $30 mil to throw around these days—but it still might happen. It’s considered one of the most iconic Ferraris (for obvious reasons), and the full production line was only 22 cars. As a result, they’re consistent record-breakers at auction. As to whether the streak continues, we’ll have to wait and see.
