Our Least Favorite World Cup Jersey
This is the latest installment of The World Cup According to Kempt™, our series on the stuff that really matters at this summer’s tournament in South Africa (kicks off June 11).
Slovenia defeated a talented and well-coached Russian team to qualify for the World Cup, so they must be doing something right. These jerseys, however, are not it. White with a thick green zigzag across the front, this looks like the shirt Charlie Brown would wear if he ever gave up placekicking and converted to soccer.
You can see these shirts in action, if you dare, when the U.S. plays Slovenia on June 18 in Johannesburg. And if you’re wondering, our runners-up for the dubious distinction of Ugliest World Cup Jersey include the shirts from Australia, North Korea, Honduras and Chile.
