Baracuta Leather G9
- Eric Twardzik
Light jacket season. It doesn’t last too long.
Luckily, the first leather G9 from Baracuta is upon us.
Baracuta introduced the iconic G9 (itself commonly referred to as “a Baracuta jacket”) in 1937. Since then it’s seriously upped the casual-weekend style of such hard-weekending men as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause (which was actually a knockoff, but we’ll let it slide).
The new jacket retains the same vital design elements of the original—a double-button-fastening collar, flap pockets and Fraser tartan lining. And it comes in three varieties—a classic leather, a modern classic made of aged leather and a shearling made with sheep leather.
All of which will keep your off-duty Sinatra look going into Thanksgiving. And then some.
